 What is sustainable life?

Nurturing sustainable life is about understanding the nature of your organization, business or personality and all of the environmental variables present.  Most organizations fail because they do not fully understand or anticipate the internal and external environments they operate in and how they may change.  Many individuals feel helpless to change the direction of their lives because they do not understand their own actions and the environment that they live in.

Just as creating any type of garden requires a knowledge of the environment and how every form of life will interact, creating sustainable systems in your business or personal life requires an understanding of yourself and the complex systems you are part of.

The aim of bringinglife.org is to help organizations and individuals to understand those systems and provide tools to continue learning and nurturing sustainable life.

If you find yourself asking questions such as those below, this understanding of the systems you are part of will help you find the answers.

What is life? How do I change my life? How do I help others change their lives?
You see people around you who seem to have it all figured out.  They know what they want to do with their lives.  But more than that, they have a peace and confidence in who they are an what life is supposed to be.  They always seem alive and ready to take on the next challenge, no matter how difficult the storm may become.  "What do they know that I don't?", you often ask yourself. So, you may have figured out what you want your life to be.  How do you get there?  It's easy to set a goal but how to you actually change who you are and the way you live?  And how do I make sure it's not just a 2 month New Year's resolution but that it's lasting change?"World peace" . . . it's the quintessential goal of beauty pageant queens and something we always wish for.  But how exactly do you go about bringing life to the world around you?  Should I even try to change someone's life?  Don't they have the right to live as they want to?

 Creating Sustainable Life
3 Actions are fundamental to creating sustainable life:

Ask, Know & Give are actions that will give you the ability to understand the systems you are part of.  Many organizations and individuals take action in one or two of these areas, but still find themselves unable to reach their goals.  It is by understanding the relationship between all three of these actions and utilizing them appropriately that you will start to see change.

Below are some of the typical actions that fall within each area.  Sustainable solutions may require actions in 1 or all 3 areas depending on the current state of your organization or personal life.
